The hot sauce & egg represent Grant Wood’s ‘American Gothic’ (1930) painting depicting American cultural concerns in the 20th century. The deviled egg is also symbolic of Abstract Picnic member Shakti Kroopin, as they’re her favorite picnic food! Shakti is an abstract artist of many disciplines. They reside in Madrid, NM where they own Mad Contemporary Gallery.
